Happy Friday....... well, I got through today's camp by a frog's hair. Although, I definitely had to modify some of the upper body exercises. Hopefully the breathing will get easier as I believe I sound like heaving hippo with asthma.
And I have to say, the rest of the day was actually pain free, including the gimp arm, and, except for the near death exhaustion.....it was not the "hell" as in the previous posts.
Smile!!!!

I'm a Slug!!!!
Yes, I admit, I blew off Wednesday's camp. But, I did so because all the pain I described yesterday decided to relocate into my left arm and teach me a lesson. I am way to competitive.....I actually thought that I could keep up with the those who are 20+ years younger and in way better shape. I was not going to be the one who held the others back and made them wait until the old lady crawled her way back to the group panting and rasping for breath.
And, in doing so, I caused an injury so painful that I lost the use of my arm for 2 days. But, I am back and ready for the next session. So, tomorrow morning I will slither in hoping know will notice and will get through camp without stupidity.
So until then, live, love and as always, laugh..........

The NEXT Day.......
I think I'm awake, but, it's still really dark in here and I know there is daylight, wait my eyes were still closed. OHHHH, OUCH, what the......my eyelids hurt!!!! How is that possible?? This boot camp worked muscles that I never knew existed in the human body. Rolling over is now an Olympic event and I should get the gold medal for the "cry out in pain" segment. Now where did I put that Hoyer Lift???
Yesterday, the pain moved in and set up house not long after boot camp ended which actually was really kind of fast. I thought, ok, I can handle this, not too bad. A little stiff here and there, but, not too bad. Fast forward 24 hours later and HELLO!!!! I found that the 1-inch drop in my walk-in shower has now become a whooping 6 inches as my screaming thigh muscles refused to bend and I fell in. Not to mention that lifting my arms to wash my hair catapulted my pain riddled body into contortions that even Ripley's would be impressed.
So, as I move slowly though my day, trying not to resemble a character from Michael Jackson's Thriller video, I am reminded that in less than 24 hours I will return to "hell" and do it all over again.
Peace
